We are so excited to announce our successful artist exchange applicants: Lizzy Hardingham (England) and Joce Reyome (Canada). Through a partnership between Manchester Folk Festival and Music PEI, Lizzy and Joce will be working together in a very special pan-Atlantic project. Following time spent together in Prince Edward Island and in Manchester, they will perform together as part of our English Folk Expo Showcase.
Folk infused singer-songwriter, Lizzy Hardingham performs songs for the heart, from the heart; giving audiences a chance for genuine connection and empathy. Her exhilarating voice grabs the listener from the first note and holds on until the last. Think Christine Collister, Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny and KT Tunstall in one.
Joce Reyome has been captivating audiences with their dynamic performances on stages throughout the east coast of Canada, where they now call home. They have won MusicPEI’s 2022 “Entertainer of the Year” and was nominated for a multitude of others including “New Artist of the Year” and “Musician of the Year”. Joce infuses a classic blues sound with raw vocals and a new perspective while staying true to their singer/songwriter roots. With inspiration from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, and Tracy Chapman, they don’t hold back when they step onto the stage.
