PRS FOR MUSIC AND HELP MUSICIANS OPEN NEW HARDSHIP FUNDS

Today both Help Musicians and PRS for Music launched hardship funds for musicians.

As with the MU Coronavirus Hardship Fund, these have been created to provide emergency financial relief to musicians struggling due to the effects of the coronavirus outbreak. In all cases, these funds are limited and you are encouraged to only apply in dire need.

Help Musicians Coronavirus Financial Hardship Fund

This fund is open to all musicians who meet Help Musicians’ eligibility criteria. The charity are offering one-off payments of up to £500 to those suffering significant financial hardship.

PRS Emergency Relief Fund

PRS members who are suffering genuine hardship due to loss of work, and meet PRS’ eligibility criteria, can apply for this fund.

PRS will be offering payments of up to £1000 to affected songwriters and composers. It opens for applications at 9:00 am tomorrow, Thursday 26 March. Find out more on their website.
