Nick has over 20 years of experience in the music industry and has been PRS for Music’s Head of Online for the past 5 years. Nick manages a wide range of licences, from bespoke agreements with major platforms like Amazon, Disney, iTunes, and Netflix to smaller UK music services buying their licences online. It is his job to ensure that PRS members – music publishers and the creators and owners of songs and compositions – are rewarded fairly whenever their music is used by digital customers.
He’s worked in digital since 2006, experiencing along the way the demise of the ringtone market, the rise and fall of the music download market, the growth of subscription, the move to fragmented, multi territory licensing of music services and the evolution of the video on demand market. Before this, he worked in a variety of positions in commercial development, business affairs and broadcast licensing at both PRS and MCPS.
