Georgia Shackleton is a folk singer, songwriter and fiddle player from Norfolk. Brought up in the Fens, the songs Georgia’s writes are inspired by her Native East Anglia.
Georgia is best known for her work with The Shackleton Trio, alongside Aaren Bennett and Nic Zuppardi. The Shackleton Trio re-work broadside ballads and other traditional music from the region, as well as performing their own compositions, whilst borrowing influences from further afield. With a highly original and energetic musical style, the trio has been a tour de force on the UK and international folk scene over the last six years. Featured on Mark Radcliffe’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Show and BBC Radio 4, with five star reviews, and an appearance on Cambridge Folk Festival’s main stage alongside a host of UK and European festivals and international tours.
