David began his career back in 1987 as an actor and puppeteer, performing over 400 shows with a national touring theatre company. He then moved into medieval comedy and street theatre, often appearing in cities and festivals throughout the UK as a comedy juggler, stiltwalker and general buffoon…
This led him into finely tuning his stand up routine for a mainstream audience that would send him around the world appearing in comedy clubs, cruise ships, cabaret and corporate events.
In 2011, he fulfilled his dream to stage live outdoor music events by creating five, one day, music festivals throughout the UK. This was followed in 2015 when he built a VW camping weekend which grew from a few enthusiastic Volkswagen owners in a field, to a hugely successful 3000 people festival in only 3 years.
After stumbling across an incredible outdoor venue in the wilds of rural South Shropshire in late 2017, he finally realised his passion for original folk, roots and acoustic music with the birth of Beardy Folk Festival in 2018.
