EFEx’s new HOME in central Manchester

Oct 27th, 2016

On the Saturday of EFEx ’16 we held a special reception to announce that from 2017 EFEx will move to central Manchester.  We have loved being in Bury for the last four years but have outgrown Bury, particularly in terms of hotels, so will from 2017 be basing ourselves at our new hub venue HOME, the new £25m art centre opened eighteen months ago in Manchester’s First Street area.  We will keep everything within a few minutes walk of HOME, as in Bury, and will be making use of the hotel next door to HOME, called Innside, and Jury’s Inn across the road from Innside plus a wide choice of other nearby hotels, as well as using nearby venues of Bridgewater Hall, The Ritz, Gorilla, The Anthony Burgess Foundation as well as using the theatre, studio and bar within HOME.  Most of the live performances as always will take place in front of a ticket-buying public audience, this time as part of the soon to be launched Manchester Folk Festival.  David Agnew will continue to be artistic programmer.  2017 dates will be 19th-22nd October 2017.  Registration will open in mid-November.
